Thorn Creek Bridge Thorn Creek Bridge was the replacement of existing multiplate pipe with a cast in place concrete stiff-leg structure with MSE wing walls and 600 LF of paving. The new structure included the drilling of 14 shaft piles. The creek and wetlands had to be protected throughout the project, utilizing bypass pumping and mitigation measures. Completed Fall 2013.
US 395 BNSF Railroad Tunnel The BNSF Railroad tunnel project was a cast in place/precast project that included pouring nearly 11,000CY’s of concrete for the tunnel footings and stem walls, and the settingof 444 pieces of precast tunnel arch (each wieghing 46,000LBS) The 11,000 CY’s of conrete was poured out in only 13 weeks for an average of about 850CY’s per week. The complete project allows for two tracks of BNSF RR to pass through more than a 1/4 mile of tunnel, under the new US-395 freeway, in North Spokane. Completed 2008

US-95 Athol, ID US-95 Garwood to Sagel, Chilco & Silverwood stages, for Idaho Transportation Department. The US 95 Bridges/tunnel project is a major freeway reconstruction. Clearwater’s role in the project was to construct 3 vehicular bridges (one over a UP railroad mainline and two over the new alignement of US 95), Additionally, Clearwater built a new wildlife tunnel and extended the pedestrian tunnel under US 95. The total cast-in-place concrete on the project was about 4800CY’s. It was completed fall of 2013
